ORATV BOARD APPLICATION
Thank you for your interest in serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Oil Region ATV Association. As a board member, you will be part of a group of decision-makers and can influence the current and future shape of ATV riding in Venango County. Completing this form will help you understand the skills and time/resource commitments of this position. You may find it helpful to read the entire application and Board Member Responsibilities before you begin filling it out.
This application will be kept confidential and on file at the Oil Region Alliance office. Applications are used by the Board to identify and evaluate potential board candidates. All new directors are elected by a majority vote of current board members.
BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings.
• Approving Oil Region ATV Association annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all fiduciary responsibilities.
• Assisting the board in identifying and recruiting other Board Members.
• Partnering with other board members to ensure that board resolutions are conducted.
• Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments.
• Direct and inspire the organization through the careful deliberation and establishment of policies, and development and implementation of a strategic plan.
